Larry Wynn, Vice President of Evangelism & Church Revitalization
On October 1, 2012, Larry joined the Georgia Baptist Convention staff as the Vice President of Church Revitalization and Evangelism Ministries.
Larry most recently served as Vice President for Evangelization and Leadership Development at the North American Mission Board (NAMB), Alpharetta, Georgia.
A native of Fitzgerald, Georgia, Larry earned a B.A. degree, majoring in psychology and minoring in religion, at Mercer University in 1977.
Larry also served as Senior Pastor of Hebron Baptist Church in Dacula, Georgia for 33 years. In his three decades at Hebron Baptist, Larry and the church have recorded more than 10,000 baptisms.
Larry has held many positions of leadership, including President of the Georgia Baptist Convention. He enjoys many outdoor activities such as cycling, scuba diving, camping and photography.
Larry and his wife, Ethel, have three grown children – Amanda Leigh, Dana Renee and Adam. They also have three grandchildren, twins Ryleigh Lynn and Avery Lavon and Aligrace Leighanne.
Randy Mullinax, Consultant
Randy Mullinax returned to the Georgia Baptist Mission Board in 2013. Born and raised in south Georgia, he has served as the pastor of growing churches for 30 years as well as the Director of Evangelism/Discipleship with the Illinois Baptist convention.
His ministry passion is encouraging and equipping churches and associations to be effective and fruitful in reaching their communities with the gospel, then discipling the new believers to become fully devoted, reproducing followers of Christ themselves. Through partnerships with various state conventions and the North American Mission Board, it has been Randy’s privilege to preach and teach in churches of all sizes across North America, in most every kind of community and culture. He has a longing for revival and for churches to become true disciple making communities of faith.
Randy is married to his best friend, Jeanne, and they have two grown children. They enjoy travel, outdoor adventures and all things beach related.
Scott Newton Smith, Consultant
Scott joined the Georgia Baptist Mission Board in the Fall of 2012 as a consultant. Scott’s experience varies from traveling as a full-time itinerant revivalist since 1996, to founding an organization that equips churches and outreach leaders to leverage Internet technology and social media for evangelism and growth.
Scott has been married to the love of his life since 1996 and has one daughter. Scott grew up in Comer, Georgia and during most of his ministry to-date, resided in Knoxville, Tennessee.
He carries a B.A. in religion from Emmanuel College in Franklin Springs, Georgia and an M.Div. from Southeastern Seminary.
